most certainly a good idea. I’ve always enjoyed your take, and having someone connected to the national progressive blogosphere that will occasionally mention New Orleans would be great.
Thanks, Alan. I definitely hope to talk about New Orleans as much as I can because I know D.C.ers just aren’t plugged in. (This will start with my Mardi Gras report in a couple of weeks!!)
I followed you on Twitter after really enjoying your guest-blogging on Yglesias’ website, and I’ve gotten a lot out of your tweets, so… yes? You’ve got at least one person who’s adding your blog to her RSS feed, anyway!
Yes! I also found you on Twitter after your stint on Matt Yglesias’s blog and have wished I could read more than 140 characters worth of your insights for a while now. Looking forward to reading!
Why don’t you say what you think of whether unions are good are bad, having criticized the left bloggers for not doing so? They teach you lots of economics and stuff at Woody Woo, right? Give us your two cents!
Blake, that’s the point of the post, that I don’t know what to think. I have a strong belief that teachers should make more money, but don’t know how (if?) that translates to “Teachers Unions = good.” I need smarter blog overlords to state their positions clearly so I can evaluate them and adopt the best arguments as my own!
stoked you’ll be here for carnival. if you are here on mardi gras day, get your crew and come down to frenchmen in the afternoon and look for a covered wagon, frontier style. We’ll hook you up with all the cold beer, red beans, and other sundries you can handle.
Having read what you’ve posted over the past 2 days I would conclude; Yes, it’s a good idea for you to be blogging.
It appears that your opinions are thoughtful, well reasoned and articulately presented.

Awesome, thanks Madjoy! That’s really sweet and I appreciate it.
Hooray!! I will read your blog! You always make the best comments in class; now I can just hear them instead of everyone else’s nonsense mixed in.
Amy — your check’s in the mail.

Thanks, Justin!

It’s the best kind of idea. I haven’t seen McNeely words on a page in forever; you’re too smart to keep them to yourself. xo
Yes.

McNeely blog. Yeah, good idea. Your shit on Yglesias was good.
